Separate incidents caused delays during the Friday morning commute.

A southbound crash blocked two lanes of I-684 just south of Exit 4 (Route 172) in Bedford, and in New Castle, on the Taconic State Parkway, a disabled vehicle was reported north of Exit 8.

Route 129 in Yorktown was closed due to a downed tree which pulled utility lines into the roadway.

The roadway is expected to be closed until sometime Friday afternoon, with both east and westbound blocked between Underhill Ave and Route 118 in Westchester County, DOT officials said. Drivers are asked to avoid these areas and seek alternate routes.

In Dutchess, the right lane on eastbound I-84 in Fishkill remained closed after a tractor-trailer crashed down an embankment during the afternoon Thursday at the height of the storm. (Photo above.) Crews are working Friday morning to remove the tractor-trailer.
